Lot Description
A Japanese Bronze Flower Vase
LATE 19TH CENTURY/EARLY 20TH CENTURY
of flared square form having handles in the form of auspicious clouds with panels cast with a fisherman and a scholar on a boat on reverse; all cast against a wave background, rim decorated with a band of lingzhi fungus, supported on a circular base with a keyfret border further raised on square base, together with a later Chinese hardwood base.
Height 9 in., 23 cm.
Condition Report
In overall good stable condition, with some shelfwear and surfaces scratches to the underside. The stand with a ring stain.
