A Pair of Louis XVI Style Gilt Bronze Chenets

Late 19th Century/Early 20th Century

Height 16 x length 15 1/2 inches.

Condition Report

In overall fair, stable condition. Each with scattered debris to surface and evidence of retouch to gilt with gold paint throughout. The black background behind decorative mounts on one example has been painted gold, areas where the underlying black color is visible. Apparently lacking a small portion of bronze decoration to the reverse of each. See attached images for further reference.
