Lot Description
A Chinese White Jade 'Chilong' Belt Hook
18TH/19TH CENTURY
清中期 白玉螭龍帶鈎
the stone of milky tone, carved with a slender shank terminating in a dragon head hook with soft incised details at the fangs, horns, and rippled mane, all arching towards a supple chilong clambering up the shaft, opposite a raised ovoid knob. 
Length 4 1/4 in., 10.8 cm.
Property from The Strong National Museum of Play, sold to benefit the Collections Fund
Accessioned by the Strong in 1975. 
Condition Report
In overall very good stable and complete condition, the stone with some natural and stable fissues, faint surface scratches, and soiling to recesses. Applied with handwritten accession number.
