A French Provincial Fruitwood or Walnut Lavabo and Basin on Stand

19th Century

Height overall 65 inches.

Condition Report

In fine, mostly stable condition. The upper tank is lined with a lightweight metal, probably tin. Not tested for water tightness or whether the spouts function. The catch basin, aslo lined with the same metal as the tank, has a single drain pipe which presently is filled with wood. The wood in attractive condition with scattered old scuffs and dents, as well as age splits to the central post and the panels of the tank cover. The entire structure pitches slightly to one side.
