A Pair of French Mother-of-Pearl Inlaid Ebonized Side Chairs

Late 19th/Early 20th Century

Height 34 3/4 x width 17 3/4 x depth 15 1/2 inches.

Condition Report

Seat height: 18 inches.
Each in overall decent, usable condition. Old scuffs, marks and scratches throughout consistent with age and use. Upholstery in good, intact condition without tears or significant staining. Scattered areas of loss to mother-of-pearl inlay throughout with some areas of more concentrated loss. Larger mother-of-pearl element lacking from front of one seat frame. Each example with separation of joints between crest rail and back splat. Both examples are stable but have a small wobble when on a flat surface. Additional images available upon request.
