Lot Description
A Claire-de-Lune Glazed Carved Porcelain Reticulated Vase
19TH CENTURY
清晚期 天藍釉如意頭獸面紋交泰瓶
formed by upper and lower segments of opposing scalloped-edged ruyi-head segments interlocking at the pear form body, all raised above a wide tapered foot. Carved with a wide frieze of archaistic animal-head motifs, covered in a pale glaze, thinning and pooling over carved regions of relief and lower recesses. 
Height 9 1/4 in., 23.5 cm.
Condition Report
Presenting in good attractive condition. Glue added as a buffer at lower reticulated lobes, of which some has spread to the surface of the vase in an isolated area. Soiling to the interior and and reticulated walls.
