Condition Report
Appears to retain traces of a dark, historic surface.    Old scuffs, marks and scratches consistent with age and use.  Filled with horsehair padding.  Old rosehead nails visible in areas. Webbing beneath the seat is almost completely gone.  Corner leg blocks have age, but may be replaced.  Small age cracks visible on the legs, but none that cause concern for structural integrity. The corner blocks will need to be tightened as there is a slight Side-to-side wobble to the chair, though it is still structurally sound. There are patches visible beneath the seat rails, likely due to the extensive history of various upholstery treatments.  The upholstery is as is.
Width of seat at junction with back: 19 1/2 inches.
Width of seat above front seat rail: 28  inches.
Wood tests indicate predominately beech secondary with some tulip poplar.
