A Meissen Porcelain Reticulated Center Bowl

19th Century

in the Blue Onion pattern, of oval form with ram's mask handles, raised on four clawed feet; the underside bearing crossed swords mark in underglaze blue.

Width over handles 15 inches.

Condition Report

In overall good, stable condition. There is one segment of the molded garland swag decoration hanging down from the bowl that appears to have been broken off and replaced; the replacement material is unglazed. There are also two small areas of loss to the ribbon decoration atop the rim of the bowl. Otherwise free of chips, cracks, or repairs. Some soiling to the recessed areas; should be easy to remove with gentle cleaning.
