A George III Carved Walnut Claw-and-Ball Foot Easy Chair

English, Circa 1760

Height 43 1/4 inches.

Condition Report

In overall fine and stable condition. Retains traces of a dark, historic surface to the recesses. Previously fitted with casters beneath each foot. Traces of old “worm” visible in areas. The rear seat rail is either replaced or reinforced with a new piece of poplar. The proper back leg is cracks at the junction with the seat rail, but appears structurally sound. Upholstery is dusty and dirty, though otherwise in pretty good shape.
