fourth quarter 19th century

thread-sewn hide doll with an elongated torso; traditional pompadour hairstyle; beaded features and button earrings; clothed with a beaded hide vest layered with a calico tunic cinched at the waist with a hide thong belt and on the biceps with green cloth armbands; peeking out from his beaded red and navy trade wool leggings are a pair of beaded hide moccasins
