Condition Report
In overall stable condition. There is a dent to each long side of the body; they are somewhat obscured by the engraved crests to the exterior, but visible from the interior. The silver is not noiceably thinned in these areas. The interior rim of the cover is bent out of round in various areas but still fits easily into place. The underside of the cover is marked with the lion passant and the maker's IH stamp; the handle to the cover is unmarked. Faint scuffs to the surface throughout from age, use and polishing, but the silver is nonetheless bright and reflective. The lid and body are from the same service but are associated. The body stamped '1' and the lid stamped '2', the lid does not fit the body properly. Additional images available upon request.
