An Austrian Biedermeier Cherry and Ebonized Inlaid Commode

19th Century

Height 35 x width 40 x depth 24 inches.

Condition Report

The commode presents well, but there are issues.
The top is oddly warped with a depression in the center of the top. The side panels have splits in the wood following the natural grain. The front panel of the top drawer also has splits following the grain. The drawers look to have been reworked at some point with new wood. The block feet show signs of water damage to the veneer but they are solid blocks.
