Gross weight: 37.25 dwt.
Jean Mahie is a family business founded in France by Jean Marie Mazard and his daughter-in-law, Jacline Nataf Mazard, in 1969. The company’s name derives from the pronunciation of Jean Marie’s name by his young grandson (Jacline’s son). The design duo worked freehand, creating highly sculptural, bold and organic designs rendered in high karat gold for an extremely luxe and heavy feel. By the 70’s, Jean Mahie pieces were retailed by Van Cleef & Arpels and Cartier and Neiman Marcus in the United States. In 1972, Jacline’s husband Jacques joined the company as well. Jean Marie passed away in 1994 but his designs are still being carried on by Jacline and her son, Cyril.
