Original pink and white striped cloth stamped in aubergine and blue; in unclipped illustrated dust jacket (rear panel separated along spine fold and neatly repaired verso, some restoration with minor work in facsimile, minor fading and scuffing). Provenance: Webster (signature on dust jacket verso in pencil dated 8/9/2024).
FIRST EDITION of Hughes' first novel. IN THE RARE FIRST ISSUE DUST JACKET. According to American Book Prices Current, only two copies with the dust jacket have sold at auction in the last 40 years.
