Condition Report
There is no key and no pendulum. Silk thread still present on suspension. The hands can be manually advanced, and the clock appears to run, with the hammer striking the bell at the hour or half-hour. It has not been tested for timekeeping accuracy. The case in overall attractive, stable condition. The hinge for the glass cover for the face is broken and the cover detached but present. The strings of the bronze figure's harp are bent/warped. The bow adjacent to the cherub is broken in half but all pieces are present and connected. The gilding is probably not original but shows some age, with scuffs and instances of oxidation. Minor chips to the edges of the marble base. The enameled face intact, with minor scuffs but no chips, cracks or losses. Dates to second half 19th century, but exact age is unknown as the maker's name is not identified.
