MEIJI PERIOD, LATE 19TH CENTURY

the globular body with reticulated decoration throughout depicting butterflies amongst blossoming chrysanthemums, peonies and other flowers, three butterfly-shaped supports attached to the rim, the interior set with a silver ash bowl with reticulated cloud pattern, with original box.

Condition Report

In overall very good attractive and stable condition. Surface scratches concentrated at the inner burners associated with normal use, resulting in some soiling to the interior of the body, and residual fragrance. The gimbal mechanism moving freely.
