A Regency Parcel Ebonized Giltwood Convex Girandole Mirror
Circa 1820
with original retail label to back, inscribed Thomas Fentham, No. 136, Strand, Near Somerset House, Manufacturer of Looking Glasses, Convex and Concave Mirrors and All Sorts of Picture and Glass Frames, Glass for Exportation.

Condition Report
In overall good, stable condition. The mirror plate is likely original or a very early replacement; the backing is held in place by original nails. The silvering is bright and reflective with only minor scuffs despite its age. The giltwood frame in good condition with no significant losses to the carved decoration. There are scattered instances of flaking and loss to the gilt finish, with exposed underlying gesso and wood in a few areas, as well as minor age splits. With newer hanging hardware mounted to the back.
