A Pair of Japanese Brass Mounted Gold and Black Lacquer Storage Boxes, Karabitsu
Late Meiji Period
each of elegant cylindrical shape, the ribbed body painted with leafy vines, the cover with metal flowerhead lappets, supported on four slender feet, the interior laquered red with gilt vine deocration to the inside of the cover, tied with silk tassels.
