A Pair of Scottish George III Silver Covered Tureens
Robert Gray and Son, Edinburgh, 1812
each of handled form with foliate decoration and worked with the coat of arms for William Joseph Denison MP (1769-1849).
hallmarked for Sterling to underside of body and flange of lid

Condition Report
Each in overall good and stable condition. The handle on the lid of one example slightly loose in its fitting, but remains stable and intact. Having surface wear to flat undecorated areas throughout from light, normal polishing. Few minor minute dents to the body, not noticeable or immediately visible. The interior lip of each lid having slight bends therealong, but does not impede upon their fitting atop the tureen. Additional images available upon request.
