Comanche Child's Beaded Hide Boot Moccasins
fourth quarter 19th century

thread and sinew-sewn; hide coated with yellow pigment and upper cuffs with blue-dyed fringe; beaded lanes in colors of white, cut translucent burgundy, and cut greasy blue; each with a single elk incisor and eight bone buttons 
 
height 16-3/4 inches; length 7-3/4 inches 

Condition Report
With stand. Hide is soft and supple. Fringe beginning to dry. Some bead loss. Tear between legging and shoe on left moccasin.
