Lot Description
A Chinese Longquan Celadon Glazed Porcelain Mallet Vase
having a sea-foam green glaze throughout which thins slightly at the mouth rim and at the contours of the handles and shoulders, the cylindrical neck flanked by phoenix-form pierced handles above the canted shoulders, the foot an exposed brown clay ring with the celadon glaze applied to the underside.
Height 7 1/8 in., 18 cm.
Acquired from the Estate of Alan D. Katz, Boulder, Colorado.
