Condition Report
Framed: 20 x 16 inches (each).
In good and stable condition. Portrait of wife with slight craquelure in areas, most notably to hair, and frame abrasions to perimeter. Edges of ground with scattered chips and few minor losses. Portrait of husband with areas of craquelure and few areas of white residue to surface. Holes to edges of ground from framing treatment, with acid burn to one edge and to verso. Slight bowing to ground and overall unevenness to edges. Split to backboard. Both seemingly free of any inpainting under blacklight examination. Glass of both frames sealed in place with brittle, putty-like substance, which has begun to degrade and crumble in areas.

they are in at the time of the auction, and we and the seller make
