Two Christian Dior Haute Couture Suits, 1989-2003

The twenty-five lots of Dior haute couture in this auction (Lots 46-70) represent the work of nearly every creative director at the House of Dior.

This lot consists of a two-piece pantsuit and a two-piece skirt suit. Four haute couture pieces total. 

THE FIRST 
Cream silk suit with pants and jacket. Jacket is made with a notched lapel, long sleeves, and a center front button closure. Pants are made with pleats into the waistband and a center front closure.

THE SECOND
Grey silk crepe suit with skirt and jacket. Jacket is made with broad shoulders, long sleeves, two hip pockets, and a center front that hangs open. The long skirt features vertical pleats at the sides and is closed along the waistband with hooks and eyes and a zipper.

Condition Report
Condition: 
THE FIRST 
The overall condition is good with some puckering at the collar of the jacket. 

THE SECOND  
The overall condition is very good with some light signs of wear throughout. The right shoulder has a light whitish colored spot. The dress in good condition, signs of light wear, markings at the interior hem from when the piece was fitted for the haute couture client. 
 
Everything is sold 'As Is’. The stated overall condition of the lot is based on the assumption that the wear is consistent with age and use.
