[CIVIL WAR]. CDV of General William T. Sherman on horseback at Federal Fort No. 7 before the Battle of Atlanta. Ca 1864.
2 1/8 x 3 3/8 in. CDV on cardstock mount (toning, soiling to mount, clipping to edges and corners of mount). Penciled identification to verso. No photographer's imprint present, though this image was likely originally captured by George N. Barnard, the official photographer of the Chief Engineer's Office. General Sherman appears here atop his horse, Duke before the Battle of Atlanta.
