Haudenosaunee Beaded Bags
early 19th century

lot of 3, includes:

a hexagonal bag made of red trade cloth and fully decorated with small glass beads in colors of pony trader blue, cobalt, dark blue, pea green, white, and pumpkin; finished with silk ribbon; length 7-1/2 inches x width 7 inches

another bag made of black trade wool and decorated with small glass beads forming a netted pattern in colors of greasy yellow, light blue, clear, pony trader blue, greasy green, and periwinkle; green silk ribbon; length 6-1/4 inches x width 6-1/2 inches

and the smallest, made with red trade cloth and having double curves in colors of white, translucent green, and pony trader blue; remnants of green silk ribbon; length 6 x width 4-1/2 inches
