Lot Description
A Limoges Porcelain Dinner Service
comprising:
39 dinner plates
18 salad plates
18 soup bowls (one with damage)
2 round serving platters of graduated sizes
3 oval platters of graduated sizes
1 large covered tureen
2 small covered tureens
2 sauce boats with attached underplates
2 tazze
1 serving bowl
1 cake stand
1 small dish (with damage);
90 items total.
Diameter of dinner plate 9 1/2 inches.

Condition Report
Having a light layer of surface grime and deposit through. With light rubbing to gilt decoration along the rim edges and to decoration throughout. One soup plate damaged and in two pieces. The small dish with damage to one end, in several pieces (pieces retained). The cake stand, one smaller oval dish and large round platter with a chip to one scallop along the rim. The smaller round platter having and approximate 1/2-inch chip of loss to the rim. One gravy boat with three chips to the edge of the attached underplate, the other gravy boat with a patch of visible hairlines and white residue from repair to the bottom of the bowl. Approximately 20 dinner plates, 15 salad plates and 6 soup bowls with one or more chips along the rim, ranging in size from a fleabite to approximately 1/4-inch in size. One soup bowl with a hairline through the center. One dinner plate and one soap bowl previously broken in half and repaired, the break still visible through the center.
