Condition Report
The canvas is relined and mounted to non-traditional fabric backing. The original canvas is lifting from the backing along edges particularly in upper left and lower left corners. There are scattered craquelures throughout, which appear mostly stable, with one line of lifting paint in the center left. Some yellowing and surface dirt, could benefit from a professional cleaning. Examination under UV light shows scattered evidence of overpainting with more concentrated areas along the top and left edge. Area of fluorescense at bottom middle along road, examination under natural light shows a heavier imposto in this area compared with rest of work suggesting possible restoration to canvas under overpainting. Additional images available upon request.
