JACKSON, Andrew (1767-1845). Andrew Jackson's Farewell Address. N.p.: N.p., [1837]. 

Approx. 18 1/2 x 29 in. broadside printed on silk (creases, small pulls, adhesive bleedthrough); framed to 24 x 32 7/8 in. (not examined out of frame). Signed in type by Andrew Jackson.

A printing of President Jackson's final speech given as president, in which he wrote " I thank God that my life has been spent in a land of liberty and that He has given me a heart to love my country with the affection of a son." Similar printings on silk were produced, including an example with three columns of text and foliate border published at the New York Times Office (Collins 89) and another with text in four columns and a columned arch with Justice and Liberty personifications. RARE: Not listed in Collins, Threads of History, and no other exact copy located.
