[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. 5 albums with photographs of Europe and Australia. 

Album containing 80 photographs of Scotland, England, and Norway. Oblong 4to (17 1/4 x 12 7/8 in.). 80 albumen photographs on card. (Toning, spotting to mounts, some brown staining.) Full dark navy morocco gilt, gilt turn-ins (spine detached but present, scuffing). Album with landscape views and images of cathedrals, castles, and other landmarks around Scotland, England, and Norway. Each image approx. 11 1/4 x 7 1/2 in., most titled in negative. Possibly by photographer Scottish photographer James Valentine.

[With:] FRYER, E.S., photographer. Album containing panoramic photographs of Queensland, incl. landscape and industrial scenes. Oblong album (7 1/4 x 17 1/2 in.) 185 x 440 mm. 15 silver gelatin photographs, 6 1/4 x 15 1/2 in., mounted to 7 x 17 in. album pages (toning, some with surface residue, some prints have detached or partially detached from pages). Green cloth with "Queensland, Australia" in gilt on spine (wear to extremities). Library stamps to inside cover. Manuscript title on mount below each photograph. Photographs detached from album pages include 1927 ink date and credit to E.S. Fryer to verso.

(Some toning, minor fading, 4 images unmounted.) With occasional hand-calligraphed captions. Contemporary red morocco gilt (spine partially detached, heavy scuffing). Includes views of Durham, Wells, Paris, Bordeaux, and Biarritz. 

[With:] Album with Norwegian views, n.d. Oblong 4to (12 x 9 3/4 in.). 60 silver gelatin photographs, largest 9 x 7 1/2 in. (including 18 x 7 1/2 in. panorama), smallest 6 1/2 x 4 1/2 in. (Minor occasional fading.) Contemporary brick cloth gilt, accordion fold (wear to extremities). Includes outdoor views in Norway and unidentified locations, including a racetrack. 

[With:] Album with views of Scotland, n.d. 4to ( 9 3/8 x 11 5/8 in.). 54 silver gelatin photographs, largest 9 1/4 x 6 1/2 in., smallest 7 3/4 x 4 3/4 in. (Occasional toning, minor brown spotting.) Contemporary navy morocco gilt, gilt dentelles and monogram to front board, gilt-decorated spine in 6 compartments with 5 raised bands (scuffing, extremities and spine rubbed). With outdoor and architectural views throughout Scotland including Roslin Chapel, Melrose Abbey, Stirling Castle, Balmoral, and Iona Abbey. Most images captioned in negative.
