Lot Description

[CIVIL WAR]. CDV-sized tintype of a Berdan Sharpshooter.

2 1/8 x 3 1/4 in. tintype. (Somewhat soft in clarity, some creasing to plate, some surface wear near mat opening, tape affixed to verso.) Housed in a full pressed paper case (separated at hinge, edge and corner wear). A studio view of a very casually posed Berdan sharpshooter, resting his hands on his rifle.
