Tall 4to (9 7/8 x 15 3/8 in.), 4pp. Disbound (heavy toning, some separations along old folds).

With a front-page essay regarding the nature of revolution and questioning power. The last page includes a transcript of a speech given by Edmund Burke for conciliation with the colonies, given on 22 March 1774. 

Isaiah Thomas (1749-1831) was a prominent Massachusetts printer and revolutionary. He was the first to report on the Battles of Lexington and Conrod and founded the American Antiquarian Society. As publisher of the Massachusetts Spy, he espoused the Whig cause and was the target of attempted suppression.
