signed and dated lunar year Xinyou, with two artist seals, kuicang, Ji Yingzhao yin. Four colophons, each with a seal.

題跋:
(1)冒廣生(1873-1959):倒瓮翻盤踟復跳,經年好夢被伊撩。不須二寸魚餐辯,今日書堂有季貓。相傳葵莊畫貓能遁鼠。韶覺五兄屬題,冒廣生。鈐印:夢園
(2)鄭洪年(1876-1958):
哀歌碩鼠耳聲聲,為滲民生志不成。學到老貓吾事了,書堂追遞足平生。門人封瑞雪以此圖見贈,並淚其鄉名宿舍楊西君題詠。老友冒鶴翁亦題一絕,且謂余曰書堂乃君家故事也。鄭洪年並識。鈐印:鄭洪年
(3)金鉽(1869-1950):顛賴民生太不任,一回▯卷一沈吟。老貓無限噢咻意,盡是人君父母心。題奉韶覺先生正是。蘅意金鉽初草。鈐印:金鉽
(4)蒲翁畫鶴一千值,萬錢乃為畫一貓。此語相傳由來久,舊都馳聲康雍朝。遙遙至今二百載,吾邑畫師承其祧,批覽斯圖有精意,望兒食祿母心▯。銜食咀含不肯食,口中念念苦相教。春▯然微物猶如此,鬻子思勤何劬勞。老貓前導小貓隨,望兒得食兒心悲。豺虎已盡膏血去,兒黨何處覓食為,鼠憑城社不敢捕,捕▯毋乃東坡嗤,貓乎飢欲死逝狩,士從永寧天壇師。壬申冬月瑞雪封五兄持季蒲微光生畫貓索題。走摹成七言古二章並因其以是卷將以爲韶覺先生壽,草草不恭愧負,苑樓楊池人未是摹。鈐印一

鄭寶南大使藏畫(Lot 13-21)。

鄭寶南(1910-1990)号南生,祖籍番禺,生于南京。1925-32年留学英美,歸國后供職於國民政府外交部。抗戰時派驻纽约总领馆擔副领事,兼美國醫藥助華會駐重慶代表,及國際宣傳處駐芝加哥辦事處主任。1945年抗戰勝利後代表國民政府供職聯合國,歷任救濟總署代表,人權委員會中國代表,經濟、社會理事會中國代表,聯合國大會代表等職。1962年-64年及1967-72年兩度任駐聯合國日內瓦辦事處大使銜主任。1972年起,任行政院新聞局駐英國倫敦辦事處主任。晚年退居台灣。

鄭氏一生出使外洋無數,鑒藏印“足跡英美法意瑞德昆菲諸國”可見一斑。所蓄書畫皆爲同輩名家所贈,多帶上款。鄭氏遺女久居芝加哥,十年前我司受委托釋出藏瓷,今次釋出藏畫。
