Condition Report
In overall fine, attractive condition. Numerous instances of flaking and loss to the gilt, with areas of explosed gesso and underlying wood. Some small sections of carved wood detail are lost. Scattered inactive wormholes throughout. Heavy rubbing to the red painting ot the standards where they insert into the bases. The ribbon which wraps around the standards is intact but loose and needs to be rewrapped. Each is fitted with a standard light socket, with wiring that runs along the outside of the standard; this has not been tested or inspected and will likely need replacement. The glass panes are modern replacements. One example with a cracked pane of glass with a section missing; another segment with its glass pane entirely missing. Other panes are slightly loose/ajar in their fittings. Both finials are detached but present, and can be placed atop the lanterns but would need additional hardware to be secured in place.
