Half plate daguerreotype portrait of three steely-eyed miners seated side-by-side. (Some tarnishing to edges, sundry spots and specks throughout, and light weeping effect in some areas; resealed.) Housed in a fully separated leatherette case (split at spine, surface wear throughout, closure clasps missing). 

Each of the bearded men holds a cigar in his mouth, the tip dotted with red tinting. The central figure, sporting a wheel cap, carries a poke bag in his front pocket and a Bowie knife in his belt.
