Framed: 39 x 45 inches.

Canvas is wax-lined; minor deposits of surface dirt and dust; network of craquelures scattered throughout the surface, which appear stable; pinpoint paint losses in the lower left corner and lower center, within the dress fabric. Under UV light, a horizontal line of inpainting extends from the left of the sitter's face, approximately 4 inches in length; pinpoint spots of inpainting in the sitter's forehead; areas around the woman's head and shoulders appear to have been strengthened; area of inpainting in the lighter blue of her right sleeve; one pinpoint spot of inpainting in the lower right corner; scattered strokes of inpainting in the lower part of the skirt.
