Sturdy, ready-to-place condition. All panels composed of a patchwork of painted leather sections, the seams mostly visible, with light warping, cracking and scattered instances of loss where backing is exposed and loss and retouch to paint throughout. The dark line running horizontally through the center of each panel appears to be sections of leather which are possibly later and have a different and slightly darker paint surface than the rest of the panels. One panel with a vertical tear through the backing at the center. The ornately painted sections are applied to the center of the panels then lined along the edges with a patchwork of later leather nailed to a wood frame. Additional images available upon request.
