Moderate deposits of surface dirt and dust, with fibers adhered to varnish layer in scattered areas; canvas is not lined and slightly distorted, particularly along the upper edge and in the upper corners; varnish is unevenly applied and varies in discoloration from moderate to significant; one spot of inpainting visible under normal viewing condition in the center; two areas of drying craquelures in the center right, within the darker bushes; a few white paint flecks adhered to the upper left corner. Under UV light: small areas of inpainting scattered through the upper left of the sky; inpainting scattered through a horizontal area in the center, primarily concentrated in the lower part of the dark trees; drying craquelures within the aforementioned areas fluoresce but this may be a result of the ground showing through.
