This lot is located in Cincinnati.

The work depicts a young boy in a red pin-striped overshirt, holding a goldfinch and wearing a clear, nearly invisible brimmed hat. The inscription likely indicates that the work is of a French or French-Canadian, boy. It is also possible that the work depicts a young boy of Cajun descent, given its provenance.
