An Unusual and Large Historic Blue Staffordshire 'Detroit' Platter
Early 19th Century
with blue title stamp and impressed 18 to underside.
Length 18 3/4 x width 15 inches.
This lot is located in Cincinnati.
Condition Report
In overall fine and stable condition. Light crazing throughout, with few scattered firing flaws. Moderate scratches consistent with use, and few areas of associated glaze loss and lifting present at inner rim of center where sides begin to slope up. Underside with labels and adhesive residue, with more significant, discolored crazing and small crack at lower left (near "392" label).
