Lot Description

A Belle Epoque Stained and Leaded Glass Window in Four Parts

France, Late 19th/Early 20th Century
all four components of the window now mounted in later gilt metal frames.
Each larger window, 68 x 23 3/4 inches.
Condition Report
The smaller windows 27 1/2 x 25 inches.
As stated, the window panes are mounted in later gilt metal hinged frames. The painted decoration has faded overall, as expected with age and normal use. A larger pane with the face of a woman does have a vertical crack in the glass from edge to edge, but there is no movement in the glass. A bottom pane of one larger window panel has an old lead-repair.
The frame work that these were installed in at the house is 82" tall and 53" wide. (not photographed for catalogue)
