Lot Description
**F-Grade Lefever Arms Company SxS Hammerless Shotgun
Circa 1901
12 gauge. 28" barrels. 14.25" length of pull. 1.5" drop to comb. 2.5" drop to heel. About 2.75" chambers. Full and improved cylinder chokes. SN: 37135. Blued metal finish to barrels and triggerguard, with case hardened finish to frame and parts. Two piece walnut stock has checkering to Prince of Wales grip and splinter forearm, with a 1" rubber recoil pad. Break action side by side hammerless shotgun with a solid matte rib and brass bead front sight. Item features double triggers, extractors, cocking indicators, snap forend release, and thumb toggle safety. Engravings include some floral scroll, incised line borders, rosette screws, and sunburst motifs overall to frame and parts. Frame also features game scenes of a long-billed dowitcher to left side and a mallard duck to right side. Markings include LEFEVER ARMS CO. to both sides of frame and patent date marks Patented 1872. / 80. 85. 86. 87. to bottom of frame. Serial number is marked to lower tang, inside of triggerguard, to water table, and under left barrel. Water table and barrels are also marked with serial number, as well as an F marking indicating grade of finish. Barrels are also marked with Krupp fluid steel marks.

Condition Report
Very good. Bores are bright, with a small amount of residue toward chambers in both barrels. Finish is strong, with some scattered light scratches and several small pit marks to barrels. Wood stock also shows scattered light scratches and mars, as well as a 1" crack above the left sideplate and some light flaking of varnish around tangs. Recoil pad possibly added at a later date. Action is functional.
