Lot Description
**Springfield Model 1903 Customized by R.F. Sedgley
.30-06. 24" barrel length. SN: 536856. Blued metal finish overall with polished bolt set in a walnut semi-pistol grip stock with Schnabel forend and checkered steel Widow's Peak buttplate. Bolt-action repeating rifle fed by an internal box magazine. Stock shows bordered checkering to the wrist and forend with a hardrubber pistol grip cap. Sights consist of a LYMAN rear aperture paired with a pinned front bead on a matted ramp. Receiver shows the original manufacturer marking U.S./SPRINGFIELD/ARMORY/MODEL 1903 followed by the serial number. The barrel is struck R.F. SEDGLEY INC. PHILA. PA. U.S.A. with Sedgley's Circle S proof struck in the rear barrel. Serial number matches on the bolt and receiver.

Condition Report
Fair to Good. Bore is Frosty with strong rifling and pinpoint pitting. Blued finish shows some cycling wear to the receiver, light edgewear, and brown patina forming in losses on the edges. Some further flakes on the barrel, triggerguard, and magazine floorplate. Buttplate shows oxidation and pitting along the edges. Wood furniture has few light dents on the left side and some scattered scratches.
