14.25" Nagasa (Blade Length). 22.25" Overall with Tsuka (Hilt) and Saya (Scabbard). Shobu-Zukuri pattern blade with Maru Gata pattern iron Tsuba (Guard) with Kozuka Hitsu-Ana. Fuchi is engraved with floral scroll enclosing a Tokugawa pattern Mon made of Silver plated Shakudo. Kashira (Pommel Cap) is engraved with a seated Monk in meditation. Hamon line is weak with the blade showing signs of repolishing at some point. Saya is painted in black ash with gold Hiramaki lacquer designs flowing over both sides with the left prominently featuring a sparrow in flight among branches with a butterfly fluttering ahead. Tip of the Saya is rough adhesive, indicating it is missing a cap. Comes with a Kogatana with Shakudo handle featuring gold details. Included with the tanto are its NTHK-NTO Origami confirming the signature and dating the blade to 1492.

Condition Report
Very Good. Blade is bright with two bites along the edge and a raised granular structure indicative of repolishing. Some flaking to the silver on the Habaki and oxidation forming in places on the Tsuba. Hilt wrap shows white residue behind the Fuchi. Saya is missing its end cap but retains fine details with some light scuffs and abrasions. Kogatana blade is bright with some flecked discolorations.
