Lot Description
*Sabatti Classic Safari Model Rifle in .45-70 with Case and Accessories
.45-70 Government. 23.625" barrels. SN: CAB0225. Blued metal finish to barrels, with satin steel finish to frame and parts. Two piece figured walnut stock has fine hand checkering to semi pistol grip and beavertail forearm, with carved cheek rest. Break action side by side hammerless boxlock rifle with a solid matte rib, adjustable green filament notch rear sight, and blade front sight with red filament. Item features double triggers, extractors, double sling studs, and a rubber recoil pad. Engravings include oakleaf and acorns, neoclassical scroll, cross-hatched details, and stippling overall to frame and parts. Fences are arcaded and feature three festoons relief engraved to both. Bottom of frame is engraved with a game scene of an elk bull bugling amongst mountains and foliage. Tail of break lever is chiseled in the form of a grotesque beast, possibly a canine. Includes original Sabatti hard case with green felt interior, as well as firearm paperwork, tuning test, and what appears to be a scope rail attachment still sealed in plastic.

Condition Report
Very good plus. Bores are both bright. Finish is strong overall to barrels and frame. Wood stock has a few very light scratches. Case is in good condition.
