Lot Description
FERGUSSON, Peter, James F. O’GORMAN, and John RHODES. The Landscape & Architecture of Wellesley College. 2000. FIRST EDITION. SIGNED BY THE AUTHORS.

Profusely illustrated, The Landscape & Architecture of Wellesley College was published in commemoration of the 125th anniversary of Wellesley College, Secretary Albright’s alma mater. Secretary Albright visited Wellesley regularly after her graduation in 1959, including giving two commencement speeches in 1995 and 2007, and helped shape The Madeleine Korbel Albright Institute for Global Affairs at Wellesley, founded in 2010. Secretary Albright credited her time at Wellesley as formative: “I learned to think. I learned to question. And I learned the power of friendships. I would not be where I am if I hadn’t gone to Wellesley” (O’Brien, 28 March 2022).

In original cloth and dust jacket (condition generally very good).

Provenance: Secretary Madeleine K. Albright, with bookplate.
