Jessica Hays is a multidisciplinary artist, conceptual photographer, and alternative process printmaker. Grounded in the American West, she explores relationships between people, places, and various experiences of being deeply connected to natural surroundings. Hays engages various artistic processes such as pigment printing, handmade artist books, video, and historical and experimental photo processes. 

Hays earned an MFA in photography at Columbia College Chicago, and a concurrent BA in film and photography and a BA in environmental studies at Montana State University. Her work explores how land impacts the human psyche, ranging from trauma to restoration.
