BY OMURA GYOKUZAN, 19TH CENTURY
銘「大村玉山(花押)」
decorated with a crouching spotted shishi, having inset, detailed eyes, modeled in takamaki-e and lacquered in togidashi maki-e; the reverse depicting a waterfall cascading over rocks; the interior nashiji.
Height 2 3/8 in., 6 cm.
