Lena Horne Beauty Products Inc., 100 shares common stock. Dated 9 Aug. 1961. Approx. 7-1/2 x 11-1/2”. Purple banknote-style border and vignette. Signed by Doris J. Ogden (Ass’t Secretary) and Irving L. Hodes (President).
[With:] Southern Round Bale Press Company, 12 shares stock, 25 May 1915. Approx. 8 x 11”. Vignette upper left of African Americans picking cotton with a factory in the background. Green banknote-style borders.
[With:] The Planter’s Cotton Seed Company, unused stock certificate. 6-1/2 x 15”. Upper right vignette of African Americans picking cotton and loading it on a wagon.
[With:] Virginia State College for Negroes. 10-1/4 x 15”. Bond for $1000 for “Sinking Fund” at 4 per cent interest; principal due 1 Feb. 1954. Central vignette is Virginia state seal. Numerous holes punched over signatures for cancellation. Blue banknote-style borders.
