McCLELLAN, George B. (1826-1885). McClellan's Own Story. New York: Charles L. Webster & Company, 1887. 

2 copies, 8vo. Frontispiece and illustrations. (Occasional toning.) Contemporary sheep, smooth spine in 5 compartments gilt with dark red and black morocco spine labels with gilt lettering (front joining cracked with tape repair, tear to lower spine, scuffs); original publisher's illustrated dark green cloth gilt (minor wear to extremities).

FIRST EDITION of General McClellan's memoirs, presented in both the original handsomely illustrated cloth and the rarely seen sheep, possibly the publisher's deluxe issue.
