8vo. Frontispiece portrait and photographic plates. (Minor toning.) Original publisher's illustrated dark blue cloth gilt (minor bumps to corners, spine darkened).

FIRST EDITION memoirs of General Miles and the action he saw throughout the 19th century with his service in the Civil War, the late Indian Wars, and the Spanish-American War.

Original publisher's illustrated dark green cloth gilt (bump to Vol. I, some separation of cloth at joints on Vol. II). 1903 edition of the richly illustrated compilation of biographies and stories related to recipients of the Medal of Honor.
